I golfed Evans Praire's Killdear nine this morning. Two water stations with cold water where I topped off the drink bottle I brought and one bathroom with drinking fountains. Plenty of water. Come prepared and drink plenty of water every hole. You’re foolish to think a cup or two of water at these three stops is enough.

Guess this applies to you also…

Should have known anything that makes common sense there is a law against it.

Not poor management and not the golf courses responsibility to provide you with water.

Bring an adequate amount of water and take responsibility.

don't you have a cooler attached to your golf cart?

They need to convert the water fountains to the type that have the pour spouts for filling water bottles, like at gyms and airports.

Notes:

1) not yet signed by governor

2) it does not prohibit drinking water, it is aimed at prohibiting a local requirement for mandatory "work breaks" to drink or rest in shade-- OSHA already has worker protections along these lines and there may be some statewide regulation coming, but the main emphasis of this legislation is to prevent widely varying regulation from locality to locality.

Such 1st world problems. Really?!?!?!?!?!

I think that you might be able to figure something out on your own. We are adults at this point. It is time to stop blaming everyone else.

Interesting. I played 18 holes at Bonifay yesterday afternoon and had zero issues with water. As a responsible adult, when I have been hearing from multiple sources that Friday was going to be a brutally hot day for many days, I took it upon myself to bring plenty of fluids. Yes the golf courses have water towers and drink fountains plus they have waters, sports drinks and sodas for sale in the starter shacks. It's the golfers that are ultimately responsible for their own hydration. Stop trying to blame others for your lack of planning.

Yes I brought my own water as I am not a fool; figured I could refill as needed. First water station water must have been close to 90 degrees, not what I call drinkable. Second chance was at the bathroom but no you couldn't fill a cup due to lack of pressure. Third chance at last water station didn't have any water period!!! Sorry but this is unacceptable!! Remember the good old days when the ambassadors drove up and asked if you wanted some cold water; they say they can't do it safely any more when you ask. Just another example of poor golf management; or as they like to say blame it on the weather!!

Water was carried by the ambassadors for many years before Covid. They offered the water, you poured your own in paper cups and disposed of them in the cart trash can. Don't see how that would be considered unsafe.

It all changed with COVID, which is interesting since that virus is not transmitted by water. Rumor has it that the ambassadors themselves didn't want to carry water. Perhaps an ambassador could respond.

I think taking personal responsibility for one's own well-being should be a given. Heading out onto to a golf course in 95 degree, 90% humidity WITHOUT taking an ample supply of water strikes me as about the same as venturing out into the woods on a hunting trip wearing tennis shoes.

All were nice and cold when I drank them. I wouldn’t trust drinking anything that I didn’t know its source. And the conditions at EP were very good : )

I put 2 coolers on my cart when I bought it; one has ice in it with a wet washcloth to wipe the face and neck off during the round and the other one has ice with cold water and Gatorade Zero in it. Plan for it on these days where the temp is like Arizona on the east coast.

I agree 100 % !! I take responsibility for myself .

But there will be the entitled few that want others to cater to them …..
