Default Group golf lessons

New to The Villages, I'm a golf novice eager to learn the game to participate in TV's large golfing community. I am looking for a relatively inexpensive package of lessons that seem to be offered for groups of 3 or 4. Any advice on where I can find other beginners interested in forming such a group? Also, any advice on the best instructors for learning the game would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Me too! Probably will get some answers around after-dinner time, when more people are online.

You can call Arnold Palmer or Nancy Lopez's pro shop and they can tell you how to sign up for lessons. Good Luck!

I went to Oxford Golf Center driving range on 301 just south of 466. There is a pro there, Steven Girard, who gives lessons. I am going to call and find out about them. 352-748-8888. My friend told me the lessons at Palmer are a bit pricey.

The Oxford Golf Center, mentioned above on 301 south of 466 on the east side, is great. Sandra Chesterfield, one of the head honchos of Golf Your Best, was the coach for the girls golf team at the high school. They do have group lessons, Give them a call at 352-446-2255.
