Default Inconsiderate Golfers

This goes out to the 3 ladies who checked in at Hilltop executive course today 1-10-2020 for a 11:50 tee time. Your rudeness by checking in and leaving without playing prevented others from enjoying a beautiful day of golf. I was your 4th so I watched it all. Instead I waited for 3 foursomes to play and was finally placed with another group of 3 and had a great day of golf.

It’s odd that all 3 chose not to play. Weather, sudden illness, or maybe spouse had an emergency

Sounds like a bondhead in the starter's shack.

Sounds like she had a choice of going out alone at her tee time or waiting for 3 foursomes until the next threesomes tee time Sucks, but it happens

Well that certainly was a different 1st. post. Wonder if the OP understands the Tee Time Point System. 1 point for playing and 3 points for a no-show. It does happen at times.

Oh, okay. Didn't know she had a choice, I thought the starter was holding her. If she didn't want to wait..........play solo and hit a couple balls.

On that course from the first tee you can see almost the whole course, they probably saw there were players on every hole and said forget it. It's expected on that course to be so crowded. You could've played alone and it would have taken you just as long as if you were four. Last time I played there it took two hours. I know not to play there again until the summer.

It wasn't that bad today. Hubby got his 9 holes in around an hour and a half, with a threesome and a foursome ahead of and behind him. When I told him about this post he said it was a shame, because if he'd known there was an open tee time he would've gone again right after his swim at the pool.

Have played there many times, never any longer than other courses I have played in the villages.

They decided to go out to lunch at 11:50 then shopping but tell their husbands they were golfing. Happens all the time with many women doing this same game plan. You pegged it! They are very rude and inconsiderate. Sorry this happened to you.

3 points is no real penalty.

People do this all the time to avoid cancellation points. I think it is a considerate thing to do so any golf groups they are in won’t be penalized the next week and get shut out of tee times for having too many points.
