Default Marsh View Pitch and Putt

We played there today; beautiful course that winds through some really old oak trees.

We played the “back tees” and I hit mostly lob and sand wedges; had 2 holes I hit a gap wedge on; the greens are really soft and receptive. The mats used on the tee boxes are great to hit off of. Had a great round at 4 birdies and 14 pars.

For the people that are used to jumping in their cart from shot to shot and parking 5’ from the green, it won’t happen at this course; walking only. From the time we stepped out of the Traverse to the time we left, my wife logged 10,000 steps, so if you’re not used to walking tee to green, up and down elevations, it’s not the course for you.

What do any bridges have to do with it?

There is no reason to drive there in a golf cart because they are not allowed on the golf course. You either have to walk the course or have someone carry you.

Played today. It’s a fun and very pretty course. They rent pull carts and carry bags for $1 if you only have a heavy bag, but there are definitely no carts allowed on the course. You don’t need a full set of clubs, if you play the shortest tees the longest hole is 72 yards. There are holes you hit over water and a few holes with sand traps. It is not all that hard to lose balls, so do bring some extra. No tees needed.

And there is already a small alligator in one of the ponds.

What is the carrying fee?

And so it begins the end of the gators in those ponds with someone mentioning it.

Played yesterday the pitch and putt was nice, for once in awhile short game. Mat tees are easy to hit. Took a gap wedge and putter, so minimal clubs required.

My Apple Watch had me at 8640 steps hitting from the back tees if available, so 3.8 miles. Since I usually log 29000 plus steps a day not a big deal. But for those who walk very little it seemed to be a struggle for some players.

As always TV did a nice job with a new amenity. While we might only use it once every couple of months, it’s a nice addition for a lazy afternoon
