Default New championship cost...

*yawn* not big increases and no big changes. As usual the "sky if falling " crowd predict gloom and doom, but it's no big deal unless you're stupid.

Try to ignore the negative posts as they are just people trying to get attention because their lives are meaningless.

This happens every single year when some "snowbirds" return to spread their dislike of being alive and trying to make anyone who is loving life here as miserable as they are.

I think the point was that prices will go up every year in every category here. The increase between winter rates last year and this year wasn't that big an increase. Those on fixed incomes need to deal with increases in all areas, not only golf, and will need to make choices.....we all do and it's not limited to TV. Will 1000 people per day moving into Central Florida the trend will continue, many of us might be priced out of living in FL.

this thread was created by malcontents from another website, who are trying to dominate THIS chat with nasty, ignorant comments. this person/people, have a longstanding gripe against the villages, & seek to portray all residents as 'deplorables'. you will see them try to break into a conversation & make comments unrelated to the topic @ hand, and sometimes resort to name-calling & threats

Got to disagree with that.
Been a snowbird for many years here, and play golf with all year rounders and other snowbirds.
Very seldom hear a snowbird complain, they are to busy enjoying the place.
Often here complaints from all year rounders though, mostly about expansion, overcrowding, traffic, both political parties etc.
Never had one person complain to my face about 'Snowbirds.'
They probably do behind my back, or on here where anonimity protects them.
But hey! I am a friendly guy, with a thick skin, and deaf as a post, so maybe I just don't hear the insults!

Not a nice post..........just expressing displeasure. Not gloom and doom. And, not snowbirds expressing this! Life isn’t meaningless...where’d you get that from?

I think they were joking. Dislike of snowbirds is an false perception invented by owners of on-line forums in order to generate comments. The rest of us poke fun at that with our comments.

Sound familiar? Are you putting snowbirds in the “basket of deplorables”? Rude.

If you will notice, you never have a problem getting a tee time on the championship courses. Even now when prices are down. Wait until January when they go up. The people running the villages seem to forget most living here are retired and to pay $60.00 for a round of golf is high. Especially when you play a few times a week.
If you venture out of the villages you can play golf with a cart for about $35.00

If you are playing a few times per week, you are not paying $60 per round.

If you play three times per week venturing, you will spend over $5k. If you play in TV, you pay under $7k.

Just how much do you think it will cost to play 18 holes starting Jan 1 on a championship course

I have seen the new rates and they are very high

Three rounds per week, you are paying Priority Rates.

Do the math.
