Simple supply and demand, demand is higher and more people each year but not more courses=higher prices

Exactly, lots of new homes and people but no new courses.

As a priority member I have always played golf 3 times a week for the past 14 years and it was always affordable. Being on a fixed income and prices or everything going up 10 times faster than the meager ss increase we get each year, I now have to make choices; cut back on golf, travel or food. Since the two latter include my wife, my choice is simple. I'll be playing golf only twice a week during the first 4 months of 2020.

I've talked to a lot of people that are going to golf outside The Villages. Many options include Ocala Country Club, Juliette Falls, Baseline, Harbor Hills, Eagle Ridge, Mission Hills, etc. People try to say that the prices in the Villages are not high compared to what they pay up north. That is faulty reasoning. We need to be comparing prices in The Villages to what prices for golf are for similiar conditioned courses in Central Florida. Considering that we have to provide our own carts, the price of Villages golf is high, there is no question.
