Default Pitching Practice at Sarasota

I see folks practicing pitch shots at the north end of the Sarasota practice ranges. North of lake where the chipping/putting/sand trap area is. They're pitching 20-30ish yards to a practice green. I have a silly related question...

Are they folks using their own balls? Are they possibly using the range balls? Just wondering. Don't want to go there and do something wrong!

They are using their own balls. There is a pitching/chipping green, a putting green and a practice bunker with its own small green. Note that it's golf cart accessible, but there is no place to park a car (at least there was no car parking the last time I went down there, about three months ago).

I have seen folks use both range balls and shag bags of balls.
And I suspect that area should be closing sometime soon as it will be part of the soon to be built executive courses.

In their ultimate wisdom the powers to be have decided to take the only real practice area away.

No surprise---this area was never to be forever. Your point is well taken, TV could certainly use such a practice area.

So there's no other practice area in TV that allows pitching practice? (Not chipping...I mean the longer...maybe 20-30ish yard shots?)

If you look up on top of the hill behind the fire station you will see just below the wooden bulkhead, the new practice area and sand trap. Maybe the powers ultimate wisdom isn't so bad after all. It's so easy to trash the developer for everything.

There's also a bunker/ pitching practice area along the right side of the range at Palmer.

The practice area at Glenview has a pitching area. After you pass the clubhouse, its on the left behind the starter shack (I believe it's the Fox Run starter shack, but I'm not sure). There is a practice bunker there too.

Thank you for a positive reply. The Developer bashing gets out of hand on the littlest things. Envy about what the Developer has accomplished is rampant. If you want to be him , buy your own land and get your checkbook out. I am tired of the negative comments of what is wrong.

I recently seen a small practice bunker off the side of the cart path that runs along the power lines up thru heading to the Mullberry area.

You can also pitch on the second practice green near Jacaranda at Cane Garden.

I get plenty of bunker practice without going to find one at a driving range.
