Do you stop at stop signs, red lights and obey speed limits? If you don't you get caught. Why all the hassle about following some SIMPLE dress codes at the golf facilities? Do you follow the covenants on your deed?

Enough with this thread ...follow the codes or go someplace else.....

Can't believe we are hassling over rules or soon we will become a slum....

Thank you! :agree::BigApplause::bigbow:

It would be the 2" because SHE FOLLOWS THE RULES! Not 1 3/4" but 2" or more.

rules

My only point is the rule governing the width of a strap is that it is a stupid rule.What possible difference does it make whether a strap is one inch wide ot two?But if that's the rule,I'll obey it and all others.I wasn't whining just giving my thoughts.Some people on here need to read more carefully before jumping all over someone.

About 2 months ago I got in my golf cart and went to the Sarasota driving range to hit some balls. The very polite ranger told me that I didn't have a collared shirt on (I forgot to change before leaving the house). I apologized, went home and changed and returned later. Why wouldn't others do the same thing if they were told they were violating the rules?

paulandjean 08-13-2012 03:45 PM

Think I am getting it. I will obey,Iwill obey, I will obey, I will obey, I will obey, I will obey, I will obey, I will obey

Let's not get into bra rules. Some ladies need them and some don't. It's a personal decision. Not a "rule" decision.

Rules

I will start playing golf when I can wear a T- shirt. It is too hot to wear collared shirts. Don't like the "stupid rules", Then don't play!:shrug:

Well things should start getting more interesting on this "rule" topic as more and more boomers will be living in The Villages and we all know how boomers feel about rules!

Yes, Yes, Finally someone who thinks for themselves,a individual who questions actions of others,a free thinker.Someone who is "not afraid" about questioning policies,instead of just going along.Funny you cannot golf with less than two inches showing on your shoulder straps,but you probably could receive Holy Communion at St, Timothy.Time for you to take your hand out of the sand,my friend..............

All rules are too strict

I'm for flip flops and T'Shirts. No collar and cut offs. It sounds like my generation. But my generation (baby boomers) is not in charge. So be it we will have our day.
