Default Rules for minors on courses

Have a friend bringing his 11 YO and 13 YO sons with him for a visit. The youngest is an avid golfer — has his own clubs, which he’ll probably leave at home. So, the questions are:

1. can the boy play with his father and grandfather?

2. Can they rent clubs for him here?

3. What would be the cost for him to play?

Thanks

From the goodgolfguide, page 18:

Quote:
• A Guest ID Card of The Villages is required for guests 1 year
of age or older. Guest passes can be obtained at any of the
Regional Recreation Centers or the District Customer
Service Office.
• Be sure to tell your guest to always carry their valid photo ID
along with their Guest ID Card of The Villages.
• If your child or grandchild resides in Lake, Marion, or Sumter
County, you may obtain an “In Area” Guest ID Card for
them at any Regional Recreation Center or the District
Customer Service Office. Residents must accompany these
child(ren) or grandchild(ren) to all recreation centers and the
executive golf courses.
• Children under the age of 10 wishing to play golf on The
Villages golf courses must see one of the team professionals at a
championship course for a proficiency approval before playing.
• Spectators under the age of 10 are not permitted.

Executive Courses
• Guests under the age of 19 must be accompanied by a resident
of The Villages or a guest of The Villages, 19 or over, with a
valid guest and photo ID.
Championship Courses
• Children 16 and older are allowed to play unaccompanied
provided they have the appropriate guest pass.
• If your guest does not qualify for a guest pass for The Villages
they will pay the non-resident greens fee.
