As nicely as this can be put. You are having your buttocks handed to you on your post. The consensus is to simply stay off the mat till the opening time has arrived. Same on the golf course, last I checked. Even the first tee time out for the day. Do not take the tee box early. But the course is empty has no bearing, at all.

Think of real reasons for the need to step onto a mat (business)not open yet

I need to demonstrate how to swing a club so others can watch in awe.

I need the attention of stretching while everyone sits and waits patiently waiting for official opening time.

I need everyone to understand that business hours are for others, I have special skills and privilege, you don’t.

I am retired, I waited 20 years to do as I please. But it’s only my privilege, not yours

Suckers you sit and wait…because rules of business are wasted time and shouldn’t matter…I willingly will prove my point

Why not just follow the rule? If it really bothers you there are other facilities out of the bubble.
