Why doesn't the virus concern you when playing golf? Is it because you're outside?
Older people can die if they catch the virus.

Spoke to a couple of ambassadors and although they like it for speed of play, they say that so many single riders with reasonable accommodation stickers are tearing up the fair ways and around the greens.

Excuse me....It should be optional.....There is nothing stupid about it!

A stupid decision to make it optional.

Riding solo should be here to stay for multiple reasons.

The choice to ride solo or not should be up to you. We don't need to be dictated to about
everything. I can decide for myself if I feel safe riding with someone or not. Thank you.

Ambassador yesterday said by August or September they will only be allowing 2 carts per foursome. To much wear on the courses.

If people stayed on cart paths instead of riding up, down and all around the fairways, greens and tee boxes, perhaps riding solo could be a tolerable option - as it is there is too much wear and tear on the course when 4 players per tee time decide to "take the short cut"

Actually, 90% of "executive" players have no reason to be on the grass with their carts....
The other 10% most of the time don't need to be on the grass with their cart for EVERY shot, ether lazy or abusing....

They said that for two days there have been 2000 plus new cases in Fl due to the beach openings. I know we are not on the caosts, but the people that go there are often traveling through Th Villages. That puts us in danger. I believe it should be stopped.

Who is "They"

Last time, pre Covid 19, I was required to pair up in a cart with another golfer who insisted on driving. I reluctantly put my stuff in his cart. I was having one of my best rounds ever when his electric cart ran out of juice on the 12th hole. Talk about ruining a good round of golf. Never again will I load my stuff into an electric golf cart.

From what I've witnessed playing here in the villages many people don't know what the 90 degree rule is or mean.:ohdear:

User error on the owners part....next time look at the meter. Had the same happen to me with a guy in a gas cart that insisted on driving....ran out of gas on the 16th hole. Then he asked me to drive him home.

They need to stick with the straight thru 18. That keeps the pace up, and allows the other 9 to recover.

If going back to two riders per cart is OK then lets take the PVC pipe out of cups!

Barefoot 06-23-2020 04:12 PM

don t -I don't understand your post.

Totally agree resting one nine per week or 2.

Just hope they never go back to the old rule requiring only two carts per foursome.

We never had issues using 3 if one of us had to bail for an appointment or a possible emergency departure from the course.
