Default Tee Times for Groups

I tried to make a group tee time for my neighborhood group on executive courses and did not get a time. I put in a wide range of course and times. Can someone tell me what factors caused us to get kicked out. I have heard that if golfers have more than 3 points or if they are guests, then we don't have much chance of getting a tee time. I am fine with excluding these people from the group if I know what the rules are.

Help!!

Your group isn't the only one.

A lot of people playing this time of year.

I cannot tell you how the software cuts up a group request, does it evaluate foursomes? the whole group? I do not know...

One thing I know for sure is that guests in the request for an executive course put you behind ANY group that does not have a guest.

As an example, 4 players (all residents) that have 7 points each will get a tee time ahead of 4 players where 3 are residents and have 0 points and one is a guest.

Make sure that you put in the request 7 days in advance. I have a group of 8 and we play every week. I ask for tee times between 10-12 and put every course south of 466 except the ones south of 466A. Make sure you put you preferences in order. If you put Pelican you will probably wind up there. We play Thurs. AM and I put requests in Thurs. AM week before. Get email on Monday as to time and course

Sugggest you get a villages.net account. This willl you to go on the system and see what tee times are available after the distribution is made. You can usually find an open tee time at the executive courses early in the morning or late afternoon up at the northern courses.
Right now you can get on at 5:14 Silver Lake. With guests its the only way during busy times

Due to a loss of early morning tee times, because of daylight savings, our group of 16 residents did not get a tee time on Monday morning. We lost the 7:02, 7:11, 7:20 and 7:29 tee times....the earliest tee time is now 7:38.

When the snowbirds leave, and the sun comes up earlier, we won't get shut out as much.

This will not work with large groups.

Default Point distribution

There is more information here:
http://www.golfthevillages.com/golf-...heVillages.pdf

Tee times are distributed to residents based on the following
two factors:
1) PLACEMENT POINTS: The first factor is placement points.
Each golfer in a tee time request is assigned a value (placement
point) according to their status, (i.e. priority member,
priority guest, resident, resident guest, etc). Groups with lower
average placement points, receive tee times first.
2) RESERVATION POINTS: The second factor is reservation
points (which are based on reservation history). With some
exceptions, the basic definition of reservation history is the
number of times an individual has obtained a tee time reservation
over the past seven (7) days. Within each group of
requests sharing the same placement point average, tee times
are assigned according to the groups average reservation
history. Groups with lower reservation history points will be
accommodated ahead of those with higher reservation history
points. Reservation history is tracked by points.
