Was this conversation at the deli counter, nail place, or barbershop. Those are the most reliable.

Our tee time 3 to 4 times a week have never been denied for a foursome, to 20. So maybe as stated before you might want to take the class.

As we meet newcomers, many don’t play golf. I don’t see it as getting worse, my fear would be, if courses don’t get enough play, what would the property be used for.

No matter what your opinion is the facts are that it is getting more difficult to get tee times in the high season, and yes some groups have missed getting tee times or have had to drop players to get their group average low enough to get tee times. This was not the case even a couple of years ago. Now my opinion is that it is only going to get worse!

What about the impact on new golf courses as the population grows?

When we built our home 466 was just made 4 lanes and Buena Vista went only to the first traffic circle (where Arnold Palmers is).

Since then the population has more than tripled to over 100,000 and the number of golf courses both executive and champoin have also doubled (my guess....it is probably more than double the 2004 number!!).

I don't know the actual golf courses per person, but I will further guess the ability to get a tee time is no worse (or better).

Our experience for the past 16 years supports that guess.

Larry the Gator tried to book a tee time but was denied and was told he was no longer a Priority member but a guest. As such he would need to be signed in by a resident.
