I guess you have not played OB Hills lately. That course is in terrible shape. Can't find any grass on the fairways. Greens only fair at best.

I think conditions are the best since I moved here.

Hate to bust your bubble, but most are just glad and thankful that we get to play golf at all. But, all in all, course conditions have been decent. Greens very good.

the OP gets a gold star for 'pushing a few folks buttons'

it walked the line a bit, but it didn't get nasty

Silence is golden.

I am one who has raised an issue regarding poor course conditions when they surface. Play most of my Exec rounds at Mangrove, Sweetgum and Palmetto. Occasionally venture to Southern Star and Yankee Clipper . Being very cautious due to the COVID virus I have only played 3 times in 7 weeks. Sweetgum and Palmetto are still closed but the greens at Mangrove have improved significantly. Tees on both Mangrove and Southern Star have been terrible but that has never bothered me. It’s the greens, fringe areas around the greens and the traps I’m most critical of. Giving credit where credit is due which I think is what you were driving at, conditioning is much improved for the limited amount of courses I have seen. Playing Sweetgum Tuesday so am interested to see what has been done. Palmetto back in operation on the 18th so I’m a happy guy.

It sounds like you are whining about the posts. 😀. Maybe you have been stuck in the house to long.

I learned the lesson within a couple of years after moving here regarding our lawn at home. I had Massey doing all maintenance service. About this time of year our lawn look awful. It seemed I couldn’t water it enough to make it look like what I expected. I called Massey and demanded that a supervisor come out to inspect.

Massey sent a very knowledgeable supervisor out who offered to attempt to fix my problem with chemicals. But he explained that the problem was really the dry season and that in a few weeks, when the daily afternoon rains started, our lawn would again look like what I expected.

He was right. If people will just cool it for a few more weeks the golf courses will again return to lush beauty.

I, for one, have simply gotten tired of talking about it. I play mostly executive courses and the one that I play the most is in the worst condition of any golf course I've ever seen. I understand that we haven't had much rain and the ponds are getting low, but I've never seen anything this bad.

On a positve note.
I think the roundabouts are in very good condition, and the stickers at the postal stations look quite attractive!
