If it or they were only closed for 3 days, they will likely be aeriated. Spoke to an Ambassador Saturday about Longleaf and said I was surprised they didn't do that course when they did Loblally, he said later this month it will be closed for 3 days to do that....

“Yes I get it”. If you do, just read and move on. Stop with the “rocket scientist” insult.

Defies logic, but then again - that seems to be "par for the course" around here...

Better ? is How long are they going to be closed? 2-3 days for general maintenance like aerification is understandable.

El Diablo is No Better. Greens were aerified recently, I understand. Some tees had <10% vegetation and were bone dry. Realize rainfall light, but these tees probably have not seen water since the hailstorm two weeks ago. Someone needs to start thinking seriously about having mats on the tees.

What “Bozo” would build a golf course without water available for the tee boxes?

Why so negative?
It is fantastic they are doing such a great job of maintaining the courses so Residents will have 3 newly renovated courses to play on very soon!

You said in the same sentence that they closed all 3 but there are plenty of other courses in the area….so what is the issue?

Yes we all know maintenance has to be done and is always done after the snowbirds leave. Heaven forbid a part timer has any inconvenience to their game. Looking forward to closures and aerated greens all summer. Gives us all an excuse for missing that 3 foot putt, or summer rules of anything inside 3 feet is a gimme or anything missing by 6 inches or less is good. Lol

It's got nothing to do with not "inconveniencing part timers"...

It's got everything to do with trying to keep ALL of the courses open during the busiest season, so that EVERYONE has a better chance to play.

Do you really want them to close courses during the busy season?
