Default Inflation is back and so are I-Bonds

A great Forbes article on I-Bonds by Mel Lindauer.

Buy I Bonds when interest rates are rising. Sell when interest rates start to fall and move the money into longer term bonds to lock in the higher rates. I wish the $10K per year purchase limit would be removed.

Thank you, Kayacker. Sounds like a good option to park some funds.

I wonder why the 5k paper and 5k Treasury Direct limit breakdown. If there must be a 10k limit, why the heck can't you just do it all online at Treasury Direct.

The limit is SSN based. So if you had 100 close friends (that you trusted COMPLETELY), you could have your $10K and be Co-Owner on another Million.
