Broker Fees
What is a normal fee quarterly for a broker to charge for managing a 401k

No normal fee. Some charge .5% to 1.5% on your balance. Some charge a flat fixed fee. Some make their money hourly, some make it on buy/sells.

I pay about $550 a year for my Ameriprise rep to manage two small IRA's and an annuity.
The money makes far more than that each year and my guy is worth every penny.

Might be. Have you looked at the numbers in terms of PERCENTAGE of your portfolio? Also, what percentage you keep? Have you been through down years with your guy? Just some things to consider.

Plus...............there should be no fee on the annuity portion
