Default Dead Cat Bounce

Based on the futures market (Dow) being up a couple hundred points this morning, what are the thoughts out there that this may be a classic dead cat bounce day???

Keep your powder dry. 2019 has seen a nice run. Maybe even trim a little. Both panic selling and desperate buying lead to dismal results.

Steady the course, don't mind the passing waves.... Still lots of prosperity ahead

Saw plenty of that 08/09. Time will tell, but I don't think it's as dire now as it was then. Asia is a big concern though.

It's funny that in my younger days, a market drop like this one would probably send me scurrying to the sidelines, and in the end, it would cost me money. Every single time. Now I sit back and let it ride, as I've already set up my investments to minimize the damage of a market drop. In fact, I'm expecting the markets to drop further over the next month or so due Trump's China policy, and I'll be buying stocks then, when they on sale. I'm betting the Oracle of Omaha is doing the same.

Based on todays opening, looks like it really was a one day bounce. I agree with the comments to stay the course and a buying opportunity will gradually emerge from this temp blip in the trend.
