If you have a pension, this is your 2nd annuity.

Here are some other resources: Keep in mind that all annuities are insurance products and they can be expensive. Watch the yearly fees and riders.

Do you have any comments for a possible number 3, about other investable funds?

Kind of misleading. Since the topic is Immediate Annuites and they do not have yearly fees or riders.

My wife and I bought two immediate annuities 25 years ago. They will pay us until the end. Ours have no inflation protection, just survivorship. Interest rates were 7.5% back then which made them more affordable for their monthly payout. Luckily we have not had hyperinflation since then, but be aware that your dollars will erode over time.

Probably the best time to buy them is at retirement. They can become your pension.

Are you positive? Any annuity I have ever seen has sales fees and some have ongoing fees forever. Who has an immediate annuity without fees?

No ongoing fees, one time payment. Transamerica and Symetra.
