Default Investment Company

I am not looking for "Solicitors" but help from other investors in who you would recommend as to Investment Company that I can invest a large sum of money for Growth

I have ruled out Merrill Lynch and considering "Sabal Trust"? Does anyone have any advice as I am in my early 70's and looking for Growth as well as preservation of capitol.

Thank you and appreciate all advice

Do you want a financial adviser or a brokerage firm? Sabal Trust? Do you want a trust administered?
For a Broker I would try Schwab or Fidelity or E Trade

Go with Vanguard and just use a single fund like Lifestyle Strategy Moderate Growth. Safe, simple, decent return history, easy to use and VERY low cost. Any other advisor type will charge you fee's and cost of trading that will eat up your returns. It has been proven many times over that low cost will beat fee advisors always.

do NOT go to Fross & Fross. they charge a fee and also get commissions off what they sell and they will sell you private REITs that tie up your money for years or annuities. They dazzle you with their office and other perks but all that dazzle is paid for by their clients, all in my opinion as a former client. Go with either Vanguard or if you want the convenience of someone to talk to face to face, to Fidelity in Lake Sumter Landing. There you can choose to use their fee service or just get their advice and manage your own.
