Drawing down your principle is OK if you don't have any heirs or you don't care to leave anything behind and you plan your withdrawal schedule out far enough. If you plan to run out of money at the ripe old age of 110, you should be fine. The chances of you seeing your account balance at zero would be very, very slim.
