Default Bar Hopping - Villages Style

We arrived two days ago, and ever since my bride and I have been Bar Hopping .... let me explain:

We have AT&T service on our phones and iPads. Where we were, the reception was ok. However, at our new home, here in TV, the reception is hit and miss... mostly miss.

We have been dancing around the house trying to find the most bars of reception. I found I can get a high of TWO BARS, but to do so I have to stand in the pool, in the rain - not the best place to use an iPad... (we are now calling that the “Baja Conference room”).

Hop here... one bar. Hop there.. no Service... Hop over there and one bar ... no, wait... No Service again.. Calls failing to connect at every corner of the house.

We are not fixed to our devices, we are just trying to find out when our car will arrive and when our other worldly possessions may arrive, arranging for utilities and maybe get a bed?

Anyway, the rain is now getting harder, so it is time to close this note.

PS - we walked tonight and thoroughly enjoyed and laughed when we got caught in a short rain squall. Even our puppy thought is was fun!

By the end of the week we will have WiFi and all of this will be behind us, but I will always remember standing in the pool, in the rain, while trying to talk on the phone.

Fun is to be found where you are.

Smile Go WiFi

Forget trying to get reception on the device from an outside source. If you get an ISP to bring in their service, get a wireless router and connect to that. Solved ALL our problems.

Try running up to a regional center. We used their WiFi when we Bought our first home.
Our sprint phones had zero bars in the house, but if I went outside to the road and four steps left I got one bar. It’s a work in progress.

OP wonderful sense of humor and look forward to seeing more of your posts.

We had to get a micro tower in our home from AT&T because of the same issues you are describing. We live in Hadley.
