Exclamation Funny and True!

A few days ago my husband answered the door to a neighbor.
This neighbor went on to say that next Friday he and his wife were going to have a Christmas party at their house.

My husband's eyes opened wide and he had a big grin on his face.
He said to himself, "Oh, how nice . . ."
Yes, he thought to himself, how nice of him to come over and invite us.

Well . . .
The neighbor then went on to ask him if we would mind watching his dog during the time period of the party!

This is not a made up story; it is true.
And we are still laughing about it!!!

So, are you going to watch the dog?

Watch the dog at their house. I often do that as the pooch feels more comfortable in its own home.

Yes -- we will watch the dog.

This big 'ole yellow lab is a sweetheart and we couldn't say no to him.
We're suckers that way.

Tell your neighbors that you have dibs on all leftovers and they owe you a dinner invite. You’re too kind.

Watch The Dog, Drop The Cannolis? Say What! You are the lucky one Mrs. Robinson. That's one lucky doggie to have a neighbor like you.

I agree.

You will probably have more fun than the party goers.

Your neighbors exercised very poor judgment.

You on the other hand handled it with class.
