It's actually about to become a big problem for them as with all socialist countries with declining birth rates. There simply is not enough children being born to grow up, work, and pay taxes to support the social programs that will be used by those that are now middle aged. What happens when this occurs is that countries start to open their doors wider to immigration and that leads to a country's "character" changing and is often fraught with social perils, especially in countries that have been fairly homogeneous in their history.

Read the book "America Alone" which details the shrinking of first world country's populations and the affect on their (in)ability to compete in a global economy. According to this book America is the only country in this category that has enough of a reproductive rate to sustain a working population.

It goes on to assert that Muslim countries have a growing birth rate and wealthy countries with a shortage of workers "import" workers from those countries and thus change the demographics of the host nation.
