Default The Most Common Birthday in the U. S.

More babies are born in the United States on Sept. 16 than any other day of the year.
In fact, September seems to be a busy month for maternity wards in the U.S.
The second most popular birthday is Sept. 9 and the third most popular day is Sept. 23.
The fourth most popular birthday is Sept. 17.
September is probably a good month for those in the business of baking birthday cakes or selling birthday cards!

Guess it gets colder in January than I thought.

My first thought as well. Trapped inside with nothing to do.

My niece and her kids all have September birthdays. She gets very busy this month. And I have to buy many birthday cards. This niece was unknown to us until 2015 when she came looking for her birth father. This had been a secret of my late brother and a sometime girlfriend of his back when he was about 21 in Reno, Nevada. My parents found out that they were great grandparents all of a sudden from a Facebook message. That was then thoroughly vetted by my older brother who-- at that time-- was a headhunter for filling computer programming positions in the US government among other openings.

Surprise!

It is nice getting to know a whole branch of the new family tree. And my niece shares her September birthday with a dear woman I met here in the Villages. So I can remember both of these.

Jeopardy last night had a series of Questions on Librarians and then some on Libra- ians. People born in late September and part of October which was fun. I seemed to know the Librarian questions OK. Not so much the Libras they featured.

Looking at registered voters in The Villages, here's the ranking:

#1 - July 16
#2 - July 30
#3 - September 23 (happens to be my birthday!)
#4 - August 20
#5 - November 28

Not sure what this says about the people who live here!

In a statistics many years ago the professor stated that if you have 22 people in a room there is a very good statistical chance two of the group will have the same birthday. Next time you are in a large group, try asking everyone their birthdate. It is fun to see who has common birthdays.

Thus, my parents could take me as a deduction for the entire year.

I seem to recall in an old book that Sept was a good month as it was not too cold at that time and the baby would be the right age to take out when I was getting warmer.

Only trouble was my parents did not have much money so it was not important..
