Given how people drive in the roundabouts… I understand completely.

I still ride here. You just need to be defensive.

Don't you know it! I had my bike shipped here in February. Rode it for a couple of months and sold it in May. Had more close calls here in two months than I had in the previous two years. Just not worth it.

I road a bike most of my life but reluctantly sold my last bike three years ago. Never dropped a bike, but way too many close calls the last few years. Every time involved a car pulling out in front of me while the driver was staring at their cell phone. It wasn’t nearly as fun to ride anymore.

I had a 113 Db horn installed on mine. Sounded like a locomotive horn. One blast on that and drivers with their heads buried in phones or whatever jerked their heads upright so fast I thought they'd get whiplash.

Brought my Goldwing trike down here from Wisconsin in 2016.
I rode it 3 years and decided this is crazy, and sold it just before Covid 19 arrived.

I got soiled riding in Wisconsin living next to the state forest and could ride for hours
on a weekday without meeting a car.

Also.. I figure we don't heal as fast when we get older.
