He warns the boyfriend that the vehicle has a camera in the back seat and that he will be monitoring them to see if any "funny business" is going on. Really? Is that the best reason chevrolet could come up with to convince buyers that they need a camera in the back seat? To me, the commercial is not only not funny, but it is insulting to teenagers. Rant over.

you are exactly right

Rented a Kia from Avis last month - what a piece of crap….. it bottomed out on a speed bump at the airport going 5mph.

I would say the commercial is effective, even if it’s dumb. Here we are, talking about it - and we all know its a Chevy truck that has all the cameras.

Are you really that clueless?

It's called autonomous driving. And like it or not, it's coming to a vehicle near you sooner than you think.

I had a 2019 Nissan that would steer inside the lines on the road (kind of a weird feeling going 70 on the interstate, turned this feature off), had adaptive cruise control to automatically keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you and would automatically adjust the speed with the flow of the traffic, and would brake forward or backward if it found an object in its path. Chevy is years behind current technology

Why advertise? Their sales lots are empty.

Hey it’s a Chevrolet. The camera will break a week after the warranty is up anyway.

Chevy has had lane departure and adaptive cruise since 2014. It had auto breaking in 2013.

They had airbags in 1973, but people generally didn't want them.

2022 Chevy Silverado — Walter in Winter | Chevrolet - YouTube

Thanx for the link. I just watched the Walter in winter commercial. I am with everybody else I love it. And it really brought back memories with Burl Ives (or someone who kinda sounds like him) singing
“BIG ROCK CANDY MOUNTAIN”.

I don’t remember seeing the first Walter commercial that people are talking about. So I’m gonna have to go watch that right now.

KIA's look like a disposable car, much like the later versions of the ford taurus. i too rented one once, it was like driving in a soda-can: being scared to death the whole thing would crumble in a fender bender
