YThey're wild. Apparently the day before we arrived they were on the dunes right by the house we're staying in. Our house is on the very end of the area where there is fencing to keep them somewhat contained.

But here's something you'll really enjoy. I kept telling the gang here that I would love NOTHING more than to see an awesome thunder and lightning storm one night while we're here. Because the main floor is 3 stories up with floor to ceiling windows and right on the water, I could only imagine how spectacular it would be to view from here. Well, my wish came true tonight. Okay, maybe God overdid it a little. It's been teeming rain here for at least an hour and the wind gusts got a little scary at one point but the lightning show was out of sight. My husband and I started watching from outside on the deck. Finally he said maybe we should go in as the weather worsened. Just as I said do we have to, the loudest crack of thunder I've ever heard sounded. Well, let me tell you, I couldn't get to the door fast enough - lol. One of my cousins went out after that and videoed some of it. It was incredible!

Before you started hanging with us full time you shoulda seen it. I was Violated at least three times a day. I actually was P.O. ed at first but grew to like being violated by certain people only. :duck:

On a related topic: Just placed (yesterday) my mother in a nursing home, to join my father who has been there for a year. She is 95 and was not excited about moving out of her home of 60 years. First night is probably the scariest, but it went well.


Looking forward to heading bac to TV.

You are NOTHING but a great son. It's not easy for sure but sometimes the best move. Lots of feelings floating around with everybody in the family. Mom will thrive once she settles in.

Saw John Wick again on Blu-Ray last night. Still hate the scenes with the really cute puppy. Forgot that one of the regular Game of Thrones actors was the son of the villain in the first John Wick movie. And the major creep.

I'll tell ya.. Older folks can be NOTHING but stubborn.

Mrs. K's parents are in their mid 80's and would certainly benefit from an assisted living facility. Anytime we bring it up you'd think we shot their dog or something.

Kudos to you for getting it done..

Just briefly stopping by and saw this post. What a blessing, dew, to still have your parents into their 90's - WOW! So glad you were able to help with the transition. Prayers that she adjusts well and that you have continued peace about it.
