Tonight makes me think of Barney and even Little Luca who were scared of Fireworks Big Time. 95 Lb Boxer shook like a Little Sissy. I stayed up with him every 4th of July and made it through work somehow with hardly any sleep. God, I wish Barney or Luca were with us for us to take care of them. :doggie:+:boom:+:ohdear: = N.G.

What a beautiful day it was yesterday. Nothing but rain, rain & more rain but its all good. Look at where live nowadays. NOTHING but Grateful to be here.

The Best thing was we got to stay around The Villages, no trip to Pompano Beach. Life is Good!

My dog would not go out to pee last night until 4:35 AM July 5. Had tried a few times before that but there were way too many fireworks going off. There was actually a lot of smoke showing from the street lights.

With the economy doing well I think people felt they could waste a little extra money this year blowing up NOTHING. I went to bed at 2:00am and they were still going off.

We have an Indian reservation close by that sells "real" fireworks. Everything from sparklers to large mortars. Even I felt a little shell shocked last night. It was just nutty.

Have a feeling I'm gonna be a bit grumpy at work today.. lol

A wonderful neighbor had a cook out scheduled for a half hour before the deluge. Despite the weather, we still had nothing less than a great time.
