Wiotte, good point. I didn't know that some of our friends are from other parts or I forgot. I think it would be Nothing but fair to tell them it is the greatest place to live except for the really rough weather. One week preparing, one week going thru the event, one week getting it back together. We had no electric for about a week after the Irma Storm and our street was flooded. We were very fortunate. :coolsmiley:

Yeah, I remember some past experiences with flooding and power outages. It is not fun and at the time, as you say, NOTHING else matters except the moment to moment of how to make it through.

One thing about Florida regarding power outages, at least you don't have to worry about freezing to death. Much rather have an outage up here in the summer months than the dead of winter. But nevertheless you worry about people with medical conditions and the like. NOTHING but an edge of the seat moment in one's life, especially not knowing when the power will come back on or when the rain will stop and/or the water will recede.

Anyway, sorry that you had to be one of the unfortunate ones with long term power loss, but glad you missed the flooding of your home. I know some people were not so fortunate and suffered a lot at that time.

It is Tuesday here in NOTHINGVILLE and I'm still tired. May have to act like a real retiree today and take a nap later on.

I was born & raised in Pontiac Mi. Us kid's used to watch cartoon's alot. Dudley-Do-Right was one of them that came out of Canada channel 9 back then.
Other cartoon's like Poop-Deck-Paul with Popeye & the gang..NOTHING but the Good-Ole-Day's back then.
I've always liked Dudley....

I love seeing all the posts when I log in.. It gives me NOTHING to do..

Yeah, I think the rest of us are making NOTHING but slackers out of the 2 of you, especially K. At least you, W, provide us with some good picture stories once in awhile. I'll only cut you some slack, K, if your excuse is that you're too busy getting ready for your trip to FL soon AND planning that trip to TV next year at the same time.

But neither of you can beat Big Al in the slacker department. Where the heck is he? All the viewers are waiting in anticipation of his next appearance.
