Slow day. I picked up some Christmas wrapping paper and Dee Dee said I had a lot of Christmas presents to give. Not really just stocking up for next year and maybe even the one after that. Dee Dee is a cashier I am familiar with a little bit. I often put the cashier's names in my Where's George entries if I know these names. Only works when I pay in cash though which is only some of the time.

Do have to get Xmas packages out soon though.

Busy Christmas shopping, wrapping and sending out packages today so I am quite late with the view count for the NOTHING thread. We had 201, 933 yesterday morning and now have 202, 627 look sees 36 or so hours after that.

Others must also be busy doing stuff. It looks like 12/14 is the last day that regular mail can get to its location via the US Post Office by Christmas.

They have some helpful workers at Save Ship in Southern Trace Shopping Center. A lot of joking with the regular customers too. I am not a regular there yet and not for NOTHING. Nice friendly people there.

The NUCKY DeCoder Ring didn't work on PVD so now you have NOTHING but a Ring of your own. PVD, now you're like my kids, talking in code. Especially the Army one. They don't use words everything is initials.

PVD is post vacation depression. I used to suffer from this as well as SAD seasonal affective disorder but The Villages NOTHING but cured me of both.

I'm not so sure. I'm thinking it could be more than that but time will tell.

Speaking of time, it's Thursday, December 13th and I have a mountain of mail and other things to sift through today. My goal is to see my dining room table full of NOTHING by the end of the day.

202, 799 views for 12/13/2018 9:02 AM EST. This is for NOTHING.

Looks this Kenswing started this thread on January 1, 2018. Will we reach 220, 400 by New Year's Day 2019? More than likely, I expect. We will need some help with that though. Sometimes I mention NOTHING on my Facebook page hoping that others will get intrigued by what is going on here.

There were people who NOTHING but turned on yours truly because their income went up when I went on vacation. I never took it to heart. They each had their own limitations as does everyone and safety and time behind the wheel affected their income and was more important to me then it was to others.

Mrs. Abby, I hope all that mail or the majority of it is NOTHING. Shread, Shread, Shread.

I have to do Xmas cards to various points in CA and NV and elsewhere today or tomorrow 12/14. Facebook is easy but the lite touch is nicer via snail mail and not for NOTHING. Unfortunately most of these receivers do not send stuff to me. They do not do snail mail at all for some reason.

Sorry to hear that happened to a nice NOTHING like you, Nucky. The hardest part about leaving my job, besides the money of course, is how much the people there seem to like and appreciate me and don't hesitate to show it in so many ways. I feel so blessed and grateful just thinking about it. It's really a dream job for my profession but I think I'm just burning out and ready to move on. I'll try to be patient though and see how, when, and where the chips fall.......

I love my hobby but pay in more ways than one to do it. And it is NOTHING but helping people and I do not have to sit in a meeting every two or three days and butt heads with others like at places I have worked in MN and CA. Even though Information Access Company had some really enjoyable meetings as these were nice people for the most part. A hippie who once worked for Rolling Stone and a ex Catholic priest along with a San Francisco folk singer, the manager and a nice lady along with me. And the manager of our group a nice guy from CT. Or was it RI? I do see the SF folk singer online and wonder what she makes of my little hobby. It has gotten very hard to ignore wherever you live in the United States which is just marvelous. All the seeds I put out in the past 28 years are starting to really blossom in spectacular ways. Of course, this could just me all in my imagination. My four degrees have worked a lot in getting it connected with various institutions and Facebook has been a godsend and I do not have to bother with all the University in-fighting. Power plays in law schools are even worse IMHO.

Of course, I could not have done this without the help of hundreds if not thousands of people I have contacted in the past almost three decades among these many actresses, actors, writers and journalists. And communicating with a lot of lawyers and police departments.

Hey, here's one for you -

My husband said it's not Post Vacation Depression, it's Post Villages Depression and I think he might be right. I never felt that depressed coming home from a vacation. Although I might not have wanted to go back to work necessarily, I was usually happy to come back to the comforts and familiarity of my own home. I guess now The Villages feels more like home - maybe that's it. :sigh: He's NOTHING but a smart man.........

Money would be nice but I will have to work on something to really get that. NOTHING but busy busy. Got a call last night from the U of Denver School of Education and a library student wanted to know if I am still in librarianship. I am but it would take days to explain stuff to her. My nurse friend got it quickly or seemed to but she was married to a lawyer and dated a FED for a while a few years back. And my gay friends also caught onto it. I bumped into them yesterday on accident. Nice pair of lesbian ladies. One is a NYC retired nurse. I worked near San Francisco and went to the U of MN where you found a lot of people with different life styles.

And some of the groups I communicate with are gay/lesbian helpers so to speak.

So glad this was asked and answered - since my Nucky DeCoder Ring is on backorder but then again, I guess it wouldn't have worked.

I thought it might have been a secret Nothing Code.

Always good to see your beautiful smiling face on here, BK. Hope things are getting back to some kind of normal for you now that you are back.

Speaking of behaving, I think we must be putting the Kommander to sleep on here lately. He seems to be tuning in later and later every day. Then there are his long absences throughout the day which I can only assume are prolonged naps. Somebody on here better get this place jump started and it best not be me or this thread will probably get NOTHING but closed down......:evil6:

We all are Loving you Mrs. BK. You are NOTHING but a bright spot in our days full of NOTHING.

The other subject we were speaking of got me totally turned around by a simple conversation that I overheard in my son's living room. I did not participate even one syllable in the conversation I NOTHING but listened. Probably about 12 years ago.

What if your Son, Daughter, Nephew or Neice switched to another lifestyle would you disregard or shun them? Then some people said they would shun some said they wouldn't. Still quiet. Then someone said if the kid had a medical condition or became an alcoholic or had a drug problem would you turn your back and disown them. BINGO. Now the light bulb went off and the problem I carried, hatred, dropped from me and lightened my mental load immediately. Who am I to Judge? Berry nice to listen instead of talk. :blahblahblah:

Had some errands to run in the city so we decided to have an early dinner on the waterfront while we were there. Once it got dark we took a stroll through the marina and admired all the decorated boats. NOTHING but a great day.

Mrs. Abby, I'm not sure if anyone else NOTHING but mentioned it but there is no Costco close to The Villages. Sam's work's out good for us, we are very easy going. The Meat & Seafood Department at Sam's has gotten much better over the last two years.

Thank God, yous made it home safely. I hate traveling. I like it here! :)

Thank you, Nucky, so kind of you. I agree with you about liking it there. You will get no argument from me. I hate the process of traveling - preparing, packing, airports, unpacking, etc - but I do love seeing new places and things and I definitely love being in TV. It is a mind boggling place and not something you can explain. You really have to experience it for yourself. I mean how many 55+ communities in the US have people coming from all around the globe buying homes? I don't know for sure, but I bet not many.

About Costco - yes, I know. We've traveled to the Orlando one and were hoping to get to the one near Tampa this time but never made it. We found out we could survive without it. Never thought I would say that. We may try Sam's Club when we move there, but an hour drive once a month or so is not the end of the world or a deal breaker by any means.

Been up for over an hour now. Got a family situation that is on my mind and couldn't sleep. I hate to see others suffer especially those who are alone and over the holidays to boot. Trying to figure out what I can do to help. I've played the fixer in my family for most of my life and although I gave up that role many years ago, it still weighs heavy on me when I feel like there is NOTHING I can do to help. But at least and at most, I know I can .

I hope you all have a wonderful day this Friday, December 14th.

Knowing you can't help is NOTHING but a hard thing to deal with.

i am still struggling with this virus. One day I feel fine and the next I wake up with a scratchy throat. I need a head transplant since NOTHING up there seems to work well anymore.

Awww......I'm so sorry to hear that, fw. At least you still have your sense of humor though - lol. Have you ever tried zinc lozenges? My son and I both use them when we feel we're getting any type of head cold symptoms and it often wards the bug off. Couldn't hurt, along with maybe some vitamin C, continued rest, fluids and healthy eating to boost the immune system. NOTHING worse than feeling sick and/or lethargic through the holidays. :(
