Tal.. Why are you visiting a website called women.com? Are you NOTHING but shopping for a nurse or do we have something to worry about?

OrangeBlossomBaby 02-24-2019 11:20 AM

1. Tal: Happy birthday, I wish you NOTHING but the best for the coming year, good health, good friends, good days and good nights.
2. Yes the Lady took her own life. I'd just finished reading a chapter in a book about WWII and had the horrors of war in my head when I "misspoke", as it were.
3. I love me a good murder mystery as well. I get Amazon Reads books every month for $1.99 each, on new releases by obscure authors. Mostly I've been selecting historic fiction that takes me all around the world, from North and South Korea, to Ireland, Alaska, the African slave trade, and currently, the Holocaust in Poland during WWII (Clara's War, by Clara Kramer). I still like Chaucer though. And Shakespeare. There's NOTHING like a good book to take you away from your troubles. Except perhaps music. Music has charms to soothe the savage breast. But I read that in a book too :)

Abby10 02-24-2019 12:48 PM

On here right now for NOTHING but 2 reasons -

One is to wish Tal a very Happy Birthday!! It was a day I promised myself I wouldn't forget and hoped to post very early this morning, but life took a different turn. I hope you have a great day and wish that I could spend more time on NOTHING today to celebrate, but looks like I will have to miss the party. you'll be blessed with many more, Tal - K said 613, but 224 would be good too! Lol

I also wanted to say :welcome: to Jazuela. I think your posts could make this place very interesting. And btw, congrats on the purchase of your TV home. I was very excited to hear you made the leap and I don't think you'll regret it. NOTHING's prefect but there's a lot to be happy about living in TV. Wishing you and yours all the best. Oh, and some advice to you - take a deep breath. A very good NOTHING friend has to remind me of that on occasion when my plate gets overfilled so just wanted to pass it on. :)

To the rest of my beloved NOTHING buddies, not sure if I'll make it back today. We are in the middle of a situation that needs our immediate attention and I'm determined to remove this one from my plate ASAP.

That was on my Facebook page from some woman or another and maybe for NOTHING. I looked it up. That was from my former neighbor who is from Brooklyn or somewhere like that. She is a retired travel agent who married a barber and then moved to the Miami area.

Thanks though, I handed over the heavy lifting to the hubby. I just have to deal with the sibs now which looks to be going surprisingly smooth. Seems we've all NOTHING but mellowed out somewhat in our older ages.

As much as I like the Pentatonix' version it's hard to pick between theirs and Disturbed's version. Granted Disturbed has NOTHING but an orchestra.

Being that as it may, doesn't it go against the tenets of NOTHING? I bet it's even in the Manifesto.

This is the kinder gentler TOTV thread. We need to lead by example..

No, I didn't really type that last part with a straight face.. :1rotfl:

OrangeBlossomBaby 02-24-2019 05:41 PM

I loved Pentatonix when Ari was a member (swoon!). But they got NOTHING on Disturbed, especially if you watch Nyle DiMarco, a deaf model, actor, dancer, and deaf activist/advocate, dance with his professional dance partner Peta Mergatroyd on Dancing with the Stars. Peta Mergatroyd is in some movie coming out soon. I am NOTHING but obsessed with movies as you should be able to tell from a lot of my posts.

I had some Publix pecan pie and vanilla ice cream for my 60th birthday dessert. Just regular old meat loaf for dinner and NOTHING much else. We have a bunch of birthdays in the extended family in February and March and may wait around for company before doing an evening out for two or more birthday people.

If I were there now I'd make you a muffin. Some people... some people like cupcakes exclusively, while myself, I say
there is naught nor ought there be NOTHING so exalted on the face of god's great Earth as that prince of foods... the muffin!

Wasn't that NOTHING but a Lady Gaga Song? M-Muffin Face?

Talzy, Walzy, 60. Me to buddy boy. Ain't it great, aches and pains. If I knew I'd live this long I would have taken much better care of myself.

I'd be Very content with that Dinner you had, I don't know anyone who doesn't like Meatloaf. But I'll bet I find out someone doesn't very soon.

Anyway now we have the drive for 65 or do you want to aim straight for 70? You make the call Tal. :)

Nucky 02-25-2019 07:44 AM

This is highly irregular. Me being the first one to post? Is the Earth going to come off its Axis? Like our kids would tell us. Birthday's over, get back to work! Have a good day everybody.

Abby10 02-25-2019 07:49 AM

Okay I'll go first -

Good morning everyone. I should go first since I've been up since 4am........unless BK beat me. Fw must be sleeping in, or more likely off and running to some other fun activity. Oh wait, it's "next week" already - maybe her company has arrived. :a040:

So Tal, I hope your birthday was a good one. I know one thing - that was NOTHING but a great Walking Dead episode for your birthday. I couldn't sit still watching it - so much action. That Jerry is a hoot! Loved some of the interactions between him and the other characters.

Anyway, I hope you all have NOTHING but a great day. I'm off to work this afternoon........

Hey, Nucky, beat me.....how did that happen? Good morning, Nuckster!

I know you're so shocked you NOTHING but forgot, but get that NOTHING in there before the Kommander wakes up. :icon_wink:

OrangeBlossomBaby 02-25-2019 08:05 AM

There is NOTHING more surprising than someone not recognizing a line from a Frank Zappa tune. So sad! Perhaps you'd prefer a variation of the Wish Sandwich, instead of the muffin?

A NOTHING sandwich: two slices of bread, with NOTHING between them. (Bow bow bow)

Maybe it's because you quoted it as "great earth" instead of "grey earth" - lol. Seriously, I couldn't tell you the lyrics of most songs. In fact, for years I often thought they were saying one thing when they were really saying something else. I love music but am more into the instrumental, beat, and vocal ranges than I am into lyrics.......most of the time anyway. Besides I only have so many brain cells to remember things and most of them were used up on college studies.....that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :1rotfl:

How about a SURPRISE NOTHING muffin or sandwich. The surprise would be it comes with EVERYTHING.
