Good morning to fw and our new friend/follower/member - whatever he/she chooses to be - and of course tomwed and henryk - where are you, my friend? Missed Nucky yesterday. I always said a day without Nucky is NOTHING. K must be out on duty this morning by now. Good to hear from him when he is able. Hope I didn't forget any of the regulars at least, because all NOTHINGS are important to me and the future development of NOTHINGVILLE.

While I'm on that note, it might not be a bad time to mention that all are welcome here. Post as little or as much as you like. No rules except make sure you don't forget your NOTHING in every post and be kind. We like to kid around once in awhile but never in a mean spirited way. Otherwise, feel free to talk about anything......bring us all the NOTHING you got!

Here's a nothing story that was meant for another thread but maybe this is a batter place.
Every year I had Turkish students who couldn't speak a word of English. I learned a handful of phrases but the word I used the most was "kririk." It means broken. The students use to make electronic kits or try and fix things they broke and with most students I could explain why it was broken but with the Turkish students all I could do was try to fix it while they watched. At some point they would nod their head and take over.

I used these phrases a lot too----lütfen bunu yapma. It means "please don't do that" and What's happening? [remember when we said that a lot] ne oluyor

I'm sure I got the pronunciation wrong but I rarely had any trouble in class.

It's hard to include "me too" in a sentence with "nothing" that sounds grammatically correct and also sends a message that we all care about you, but I think I just did.
