In addition to bacon I don't like pools either. Any house that had a pool was an instant turn off for me and I don't golf either. I guess I am NOTHING but a stick in the mud.

But you're NOTHING but our stick in the mud.. lol

Good morning FW - I hear you but for me, any day that I can't jump into my pool is a disappointment. I erroneously thought that all of Florida was hot year-long and "brutal" during July and August. What a surprise to have 40 - 55 degree days. I was not prepared for this. Hubby though keeps it in perspective and will say, "You know if we were up North now you would think it's a beautiful day". He's right -- I'm just nothing spoiled by those warm Florida days.

I think one of the things Mrs. K is looking forward to the most is having her own pool.

It's funny when we visit Florida and it's in the 60's and everyone has parkas and gloves on and we're in NOTHING but t-shirts and shorts.. Can't wait until 60 is cold to us.. lol

Sounds like we're all getting hit with NOTHING but nasty weather. Be safe. If you need to borrow my truck let me know. There's not much it won't go through or over. lol

NOTHING but a favor to our youngest pharmacist here who has kids in school with Christmas parties today.

I can so relate to you. We don't golf or play tennis and, we bought this house DESPITE the fact that it has nothing but a small pool and an outdoor SPA. But once I started using the pool, I loved it. I now feel I would never want to be without one. Due to a lack of interest, it took us 2 years to get the SPA cleaned, filled and service and, to a lesser extent, I feel the same way about it. My only problem is difficulty getting in it because of my bum hip!

However I nothing but love Bacon and Pie Crust.

That is nothing but so thoughtful of you.

My husband wore nothing but shorts and t-shirts. We would be out and invariably someone would ask us if we had just arrived! They said it was primarily newbies who were in the t-shirts and shorts.

We've been told that one's blood changes to adapt to the climate -- I don't know if that is true but I never used to feel cold in 55-60 degrees and now I do.

Yeah, that would have come in NOTHING but handy. Why don't you drive it on out? I'll wait- lol.

Actually I'm planning to take the high road home tonight. The only problem is it goes right through deer country which is why I usually avoid it. You know my luck with that......

I certainly have NOTHING but trouble in temps below 60 F and I lived in the Twin Cities for 5.5 years, near Milwaukee, WI for ten or so and near O'Hare airport close to Chicago for three months in Autumn of 1994. As well as Denver for a year and Reno, Nevada for 13 or so years.

It seems to have NOTHING to do with the blood though. Health Matters: True or False: Hotter Climate, Thinner Blood? - NBC2 News

I have been in FL for 22 years or so. Except for a few trips to the DC area or Texas.

When I was at the conservatory we had an elderly African-American woman as the cook. My HS French teacher’s wife had the same cook twenty years earlier. She asked if Miss Annie’s apple pies still tasted like bacon! She had used the bacon fat as lard for the dough! It was NOTHING but delicious.

NOTHING but very interesting... I actually never could tolerate the cold up north and even our first month here which was August I did not mind the heat.

I do not like water, not pools, not lakes, not the ocean NOTHING but the water from my shower. It was under great duress that I went into the water in Stingray City to be with the stingrays. I never let go of my husband for a minute. He tells people that he lost the feeling in his arm.

Miss the pool even though I almost drowned in the above ground pool as I was swimming between the ladder rungs and my "friend" pulled the ladder towards him from where it was outside of the pool and I started kicking hard. Gulped some water but the dumb "friend" finally decided to let go of the ladder. I got out and felt like belting him in the nose but did not. Not for NOTHING though. This was in Reno, Nevada. We had a nice pool in Scottsdale, AZ that was in ground but not covered with a screen and the dust storms can be intense in AZ. It did have a motion cover.

We also had a great pool in Palm Harbor, FL that I loved where I would play for hours with my 2 nieces and nephew. They were quite young back then so someone had to keep a close eye on them.

The Palm Harbor pool was in ground and covered with a large bird cage.

I suppose if my ship comes in I might like an in ground pool even though up keep on them is a pain.

Some people seem to be steering the ship to port!!!!! Just hope it does not hit a sandbar! I am not sure who the captain is nor even most of the crew. Have a good guess on some of them and hope they know what they are doing.

The U of MN had a nice pool but I never made use of it but did use the large public pools in Reno or in the Reno area on occasion and Lake Tahoe is rather close but kind of cold. Will big winter impact water temperature for swimmers in Lake Tahoe? | TahoeDailyTribune.com
