Went out to get NOTHING but our mail around midnight and really saw the beauty of The Villages on our side of the Highway. So quiet and peaceful at that time of the night. I don't know why but it must be the conditions we are living under nowadays but it is making me appreciated many people and thing that I took for granted in the last several years. My wife reminded me that I told her and I don't remember it at all but she said I told her the day would come where the beauty that our eyes see today would turn to hum drum everyday regular sites in the years to come. I believe her she's a good egg and I guess I was correct for once. Ha, I make NOTHING but more mistakes nowadays so I'll take a victory.
I can't wait to have this situation in the Rearview Mirror with most of us intact. Especially our Healthcare worker from Top To Bottom. I'm awake because I've got things on my mind, many of them are awake because they are committed to help some fools who didn't listen to simple advice and now are working around the clock to help others. A nurse from N.J. yesterday on the news said she can't remember the last time she slept. I'm in awe of these people who live to help us. God Bless them all and keep all of us and our fellow man safe during these scary times. To the rest of yous, Thanks for NOTHING! LOL |

Nothing going on here. Sadly even the Easter Egg Hunt is cancelled for this year. Strange times we are living in for sure...
However, on the positive side, a new tradition has emerged from all of this craziness... Yup, the 1st annual Toilet Paper Hunt sponsored by the local grocery stores is going to be exciting this year.... I guess, I will be in that one. so wish me luck... -Spoiler Last edited by Spoiler; 04-05-2020 at 01:06 PM. |

The lines at Walmart and Publix are a lot more crowded and the Corona Virus seems more prevalent here in the Villages. I pet sat last spring for a friend who went up to Vermont for his daughter's graduation from college and was about 400 feet from the house of the first person who died from Corona Virus in the Villages. From the other Villages' site she looked like a very active lady who passed. Not sure if I saw her out walking in Winifred or not when I was out with the pooch I was watching. The friend's girlfriend also needed a dog watcher and she brought that little girl over as well. |

What a difference a few months can make. We are supposed to be on an 18 day cruise chasing the cherry blossoms around Japan. Instead we are hiding from this insidious disease. NOTHING is in our control..

On a side note, there was a guy who used to come to Doggie Doo Run Run years ago who lived in Winifred but this was quite a distance from where I would pet sit the two dogs and two cats. Sometimes just one dog along with the cats though.
He had been NOTHING but incensed that Shakespeare in Love had won the Oscar for Best Picture as his daughter had been the Assistant Cast Director for Saving Private Ryan. Did Facebook Message him but do not remember him ever responding. |

You and your wife are lucky that you've been to so many places. I am the one who has held us back from serious traveling. I'm NOTHING butt a GIGANTIC CHICKEN! Maybe thats something I'll change when this is over. Think I'll start with The Keys again. |

He had been a Lt. Commander in the Navy and she was an analyst for the CIA before being realtors. He passed and eventually she had one of her sons take over from my housesitting a few years after we moved to the Villages in 2005. I would drive down to Palm Harbor, FL and watch her house. Her trips were shorter too. And Heather and Chuck had gone over the Rainbow Bridge by then as well. Last edited by Taltarzac725; 04-05-2020 at 05:27 PM. |
