Hi B-n-B,

Oh my yes, so elegant. Had to have the Chianti in the bottle with a basket at the bottom. (And, it had to be pretty cheap stuff.)

I have been trying to find a picture for you, but all I could find were the drip-candles and they call those "vintage" now. -- I just learned that in a quick google search. :22yikes: Vintage!!

Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved watching "Our Miss Brooks" on television. In fact, your post just sent me to You Tube to watch a little clip. Eve Arden was wonderful as that smart-a%#ed English teacher. Even as a little girl I loved her one-liners, especially when she would zing one at the principal, Mr. Conklin. There were times when I think I wanted to grow up to be Miss Brooks.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you remember that your phone number had an abbreviated prefix name such as JE5-5151 for Jefferson or BL5-5151 for Blackstone.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you remember pressing the button on the phone cradle 3 or 4 times to get a live operator.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you remember the entire family sat down for dinner every night at the same time and it was not in front of the tv.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you remember you had to contact the operator to make a long distance phone call.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you give up on reading Boomer's posts because she puts things in this itty-bitty print, which you can't read even with your cheaters on.

You might be eligible for Medicare if you still use "whom" and know when to use it correctly.

To whom do you refer?

Boomer 01-03-2011 08:12 AM

Uh oh, Redwitch,

You are so right. Boomer does that little print in her posts when she is thinking to herself. And the irony is that Boomer herself has to squint at the screen to proofread it. I will see to it that she does better.

You might be eligible for Medicare if one of your favorite songs was In-a-Gadda-da-Vida and it sounded so good blasting from speakers that doubled as end tables in your living room.
