I liked the older direct tv commercials where a person's problems escalates. " Don't end up with a grandson with a dog collar" for example.

I guess they served their purpose with everyone on here posting about them.

No one posted about Rick, the screaming goat, on the GEICO commercial. I loved it the first 100 times. Now, not so much.

I personally believe that Rick represents all that is good about broadcast TV today. Just saying.

I get turned off by the celebrities hawking reverse mortgages.

And yet... I have no clue about what kind of car they're selling or where they're selling them, because I'm too busy watching them trying to keep the dog from sliding off the car.

I just DVR everything that I might possibly want to watch, then choose something and zip through the ads. If I'm unfortunate enough to get stuck watching live TV, well, that's what the mute button is for.
