Good suggestions but they all seem to involve some sort of pesticide. An alternative would be the Bill Murry method. It only takes C-4 and TNT. I wonder if that makes it environmentally friendly ???

Kill them

They are persistent. When you do get them out of your yard using chemicals they often just move next door where the environment is better.

The natural order of the food chain would say definitely not poison. The owls and the old eagles we see in The Villages would agree.

The use of moth balls outdoors is against the law in Florida and probably most other states …..

Castor oil mixed with water and dish soap will deter moles and voles. They do not like the smell. Castor oil is sold on amazon, there is a link below. I am also experimenting with coffee grounds. It seems to work. Not sure as well as the castor oil.

It is possible to trap moles. It is just very difficult. You have to use disposable gloves whenever you touch the traps because they have a super sense of smell and want to avoid humans. The same thing about the gloves if you are putting out poison.

We had a mole problem several years ago and hired someone to trap them. I watched what they did, and when they trapped one, I decided to try it myself if they came back. Well, back they came a couple of years later. I bought the Victor Out O' Sight trap on Amazon. From what I learned, the trick was to tamp down the mounds and look for a fresh mound. Dig a hole and place the trap in the hole, cover with leaves and maybe a bucket to keep the light out and wait. I also used rubber gloves to stop the human scent. Caught 2 of them a couple of summers ago, but now it looks like they're back. Google how took trap moles and you'll get a wealth of knowledge. Tried poison once with no luck

Just put sliced Jalapeno peppers and juice down the mole hole. They will leave the yard. Tried this in Spokane, Washington and all the moles went next door.

We had voles in Illinois (unsure how we knew that they were voles rather than moles) and tried everything recommended in available research. Finally gave in and called a specialist who treated the ground and the voles disappeared. We laugh today when we reflect on that experience and wonder ‘Are you smarter than a vole’?

Moles and mole crickets are NOT the same thing. Go to Cal’s barber shop and get a bag of human hair…stops most wildlife. Kinda gross, but when you live in the south for 20+ years you pick up a couple of things.

Mole crickets are a food source for moles. I didn't realize my post could be that confusing.
