Moving into a new villa this week. I just need two cypress trees and a weeping bottle brush planted in our small yard, plus a small tree moved from front to backyard. Are there any landscapers who I can call for such a small job?

We just had a small job done in Sanibel. We use a wonderful young couple. Gabby Garden. Mrs. Gabby should be a landscape designer ( told her so today). This is the 4th time they have come to my home for a small job. Each time they show up when they say they will, their prices are very reasonable (you can bargain) and they stand behind their work. Caution when hiring non-insured independent landscaping services, particularly if you have shrubs and/or small trees that are being relocated or removed. Remember, your sprinkler system and the possibility of roots underground that might cause damage when disturbed. You will want to make sure that anyone you engage will assume responsibility for making any repairs that might become necessary in the event of damage to the sprinkler system. And, always test before they leave. Take it from the voice of experience. We bought a pre-owned with loads of landscaping in place and when we had several shrubs and plants moved, there was damage to the sprinkler system. Thank goodness we hired a landscaper who knew how to handle and repair the problem..... However, even some of the best landscapers will run into issues that require expensive and extensive repairs. We have friends who had a professional landscaper design their yard which resulted in damage to their water main. They had to fight hard to get them to repair it at the landscaper's cost.... Make sure you get referrals from those who have actually used the services of those being recommended...
