Default Acalypha wilkesiana

Aka “ copper Leaf. Well, this year has been great for my copper leafs plants. The didn’t freeze last years so got two full years of growth. The year before it got down to 28/29 several times and frozen them to the ground, not problem the came right back. Two of these are at least 7 foot tall and wide. I try to post picture for those interested. Require little work and little attention. Mine I think are called Louisiana reds? But can’t remember.

Last photo is my starter box. All got to do when limb breaks off or trim back just cut at 45 degrees peel outer skin little, clip off 90 of the leaves, dip in rot stater and stick it in ground or pot. About foot or so stock.

I inherited one of those when we moved down here. I think it’s just lovely.

If limb breaks off just cut it at 45 degree and stick it in pot, it will take off. I started out with 2 5 gal. Or 3 gal. ? (can’t remember) potted plants 4 years ago.
