I’ve had Queen palms removed without prior approval. But don’t ever try to remove an Oak tree! First, they probably won’t give approval unless the tree is sick or dying, reported to them by a reputable tree service, not the homeowner. The fine for doing so is substantial, and you’ll probably be required to replace it with another Oak tree of like size!

Wise Tree Service 352-430-1001 or 352-427-6306

They removed 5 queen palms for me, very good price
and very careful and knowable

U may get rooked

One should always protect the queen palm because rooks are known to steal at knight and pawn it during the day. Hey shouldn’t your king protect the queen ? Ohh u were seen with the Bishop lol. Couldn’t resist

I have been told that palm trees are not considered trees but rather, grass. Therefore you do not need a permit to cut them down.

Skyline Tree Service - Pilo #352.636.9975

We had Pilo (and crew) from Skyline Tree Service remove 8 palms and a few other bushes. His crew also planted 42 hedge type bushes for us. Very reasonable, reliable and came highly recommended by a few neighbors!
Pilo's direct #352.636.9975

It's always best to check your C,C&R'S as each Village, etc, could be different! We used Windburn's Tree Service a couple of times.

Agree, Wise tree service does excellent job and usually lower price, but quality was high.

Whoever you go with, want to share this tip (most will not bother to follow, but, I personally found out "the hard way" as my father used to call it). NO MATTER what they have on their card, painted on a truck, or they TELL you, never, never, never fail to call the state (info is all on line) and CHECK. My experience in checking out 5 "license" numbers: 2 were completely "manufactured", not even the correct number sequence for licensed trade (one was for plumbing), the other three HAD been legitimate numbers for the trade, but had not been renewed and kept up to date (one by 3 YEARS). Found it is not uncommon in Florida to fail to renew, yet NEVER remove the number from business cards and
vehicles ! Very few resources available to enforce the laws, state has a great deal to do and is just not able to pursue so many law breakers. Think of YOU first, take the time and "aggravation" to do the final step when you decide.
