Be careful taking out grass and installing decorative rocks. We thought it would make it easier to maintain but in my neighborhood if 1 weed comes up thru the rocks my neighbors call community standards. Yes here in the Friendliest Neighborhood a neighbor reports you. Wish we would have kept grass. And wish I had nice neighbors. What a huge disappointment. Spent over $16,000 in landscaping and have Community Standards at my door weekly. Do not landscape with ROCKS!!

Would it be worth trying to spray the rocks with Roundup every now and then.?

debb: I have rock and prefer it. I keep weeds down with Preen and then round up

It would be nice if at closing, people were warned about paying landscapers up front. This goes on day in and day out.
