Default Edging the flower beds metal borders

Does your lawn service edge against the metal border that keeps the rocks in your flower beds? I don't mean horizontal edging. I mean vertical edging like the driveway is edged.

No. Not necessary. Just run string trimmer along the metal edging

Ours did when we had the designer home. It keeps the grass from escaping under the metal edge into the landscaping. It looks nice too.

It takes frequent reminders to the lawn people to do the vertical trim along the metal edging.
