Free Plants
SORRY, I think they're all spoken for.
We're doing some landscape redesign here and have a few plants looking for a good home. If you need some, send me a note and I'll provide our address/phone (we're in Hemingway). They're ready to go now. I will hold 'em for you for a bit if I know when you'll pick 'em up: Qty 1 - Magnolia Tree - about 6' (you'll have to help me get it out) Qty 4 - Agaanthus (African Lilly) Qty 5 - Holly bushes Qty 7 - Lepopetalum (Chinese red bush) Qty 20+ - Indian Hawthorn Last edited by JohnN; 10-22-2008 at 02:18 PM. Do you have any more plants left that are not spoken for?

When I saw the thread title I thought you were giving away stuff like U.S. Steel, General Motors, Union Carbide. You know.
I would have been willing to take one of those plants. |

Tony....I bet your not the only who thought that!! These days....one never knows what company wants to just "get rid" of their plants, buildings, etc....

Since you are the resident Gardener guru. (By the way did you just post under gardener, a new person? ) I have a question for you and 07 too. I am a decent gardener up north, but down here new rules apply. Recently JoJo gave us several bushes from the place where her pool is being dug. We dug them and planted them right away, filled them in and watered them, but they are looking mighty puny. They had bare roots, because sandy soil does not clump and I do know this that the faster they go back in the ground the better. We had them out...no more than an hour. I have watered them diligently, maybe too much. What else should we have done? |
