Has anyone tried green dye to make grass look good?
 

I had a neighbor who did this last winter and in the summer fall his zoysia grass looks nearly 40% dead. I think he had a problem with his empire zoysia grass before he did the over seading so not sure if that had anything to do with it. To me Empire Zoysia is a long way from the perfect grass. Most lawns I see with Empire Zoysia are pretty marginal. For my lawn the Villages and lawn people can't seem to agree on what to do (cut it short, cut it long, not enough water, too much water etc) Perhaps its my frame of reference grass in NY which is dense green.

My Empire Zoysia lawn gets cut about 3 times a week in the spring summer fall and only 1x a mt in winter and I don't think it needs it then.

We've had that green beer 40 years ago, but 'Clairol for grass"?

Like the lustrous, distinguished silver tops we have been sporting atop our heads for years, we happen to like the natural look of whatever grows out front.

We'd rather throw our green money at something other than green dye, especially with so many more important things.


But, whatever greens your grass we say, and who knows, we might enjoy it as we pedal by.

When the time comes to peddle our
pedals, we'll make sure we go into a properly zoned location.
We look terrible in stripes and those handcuffs never felt good.

No Need To Mow Yet
 

I haven't mowed since 12/21/09. If you have a lawn service that's mowing you're throwing away your money. The edges of my yard are just starting to turn green. I'll start mowing again in March. My yard is brown like everyone else's except for the houses on Odell & Stillwater that had their lawns painted.
