I'll be waiting patiently for the replies on this one, I just messed with my system a bit tonight and ended up wondering the same thing. I reviewed the times that were set in to it and they appear excessive to me, and my water bill seems to substantiate that. I shut it off last week because of the amount of rain and turned it back on tonight. I also discovered that I have a problem with one bank, not sure if it is the system or whether the landscaper may have caused it to not work because of adjustments they made in their process. Plan to make some phone calls tomorrow. I understand the new Hunter systems are more user firendly than previous units, however, I'm still trying to better understand how it works.
