Landscaping around birdcage
Putting landscaping around my pool birdcage. Looking for suggestions ..... on height and easy to maintain plants. This is my first pool/birdcage so I’m not sure what works and what doesn’t work the best. Please share your thoughts.

You might want to contact master gardener, they have multiple meetings in the villages each month. I am sure they would be very helpful.

We went with podocarpus on both sides of our birdcage/pool as it is relatively easy to care for, will grow into a full privacy hedge, and we can prune it to the height we want. We just fertilize it and prune it a couple times per year. They were planted two years ago and have almost doubled in size. By the end of next summer we will have excellent privacy hedges.
Just be sure to leave enough space between the birdcage and whatever you plant so it has room to grow and will still allow you to walk between the plants and the birdcage to trim your plants. |

DO NOT plant bamboo. So different to maintain as it grows so quickly.

My neighbor put in lots of bushy tall bushes. Not my preference but he is a nudist, so I'm thankful.
