Almost have this huge problem solved. Cut it down to a stump and put some stump killer in it after drilling some holes. Will have to see how it looks in a few months.

If i were betting on lantana camara vs. a tiger: I would bet on the developed plant.

The picture with the group of men with a lantana camera branch looks like what I had to chop up on the side of our house. And the only things that worked was a machete and a pole saw.

The Villages has so many lawn and yard workers with eyes on the grounds that it will be a long time before lantana camera could get a foothold unlike many other places.

Still you do not want of these things in your yard. They can show up on bird's feet and on the wind and the like.

I still cannot figure out where this came from unless a neighbor bought a lantana that had been mislabeled by a local nursery as one of the benign lantana species. And then the neighbor got rid of it and a bird or something else go the seeds.
