Default New TV owner. What are the rules on Christmas lights/yard displays?

I will be moving soon and I would like some info on the TV rules for external christmas lights, yard displays, etc. Need to know whether to sell my stuff here before I move or bring it. thank you.

ps. Just love Christmas but I'm not one of those "out of control" outside light displays either.

Outside decorations and lights are allowed for 30 days (time not rigidly enforced). Basically Thanksgiving to just after New Years. Go for it. I didn't think they were allowed and sold all my stuff before coming and regret it to this day.

TV has neighbors that comes together with full out lights, and music spectacular shows at Christmas. Disney would be proud. We brought our 9’ tree, and outside and inside decorations. Depending on where you live, 30 days for holiday decorations that is in your paperwork when you buy your home.

Keep it modest like I do.

4 or 5 fifty light strings of little white crosses.

Bring it all and do it up like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation!

Thumbs up

Bring them. You will see lots of golf cart caravans going thru the neighborhoods checking them out. And there are lots of 5 year olds that love to see them.

Another vote for “bring it all!” We need some cheer & we love the creativity and message of love & peace that Christmas represents

Yes, bring your lights but be aware of much storage space they require.

Tim, you will soon realize that 99% of the people here came here to enjoy their retirement, life, and are happy doing so. Unfortunately, the other 1% probably can’t be happy no matter where they live. No matter the subject, they will find something to complain about, golf courses, white crosses, masks, etc. I personally love seeing houses decorated for any occasion. We sold all of our outdoor Christmas decorations before moving here only because we knew we wouldn’t have room to store them. Never fails every Christmas I say I wish I had my decorations. I think you will also enjoy riding down a street and seeing the whole block proudly displaying our beautiful flag for Memorial Day, etc. it’s just beautiful! Enjoy your retirement and ignore all the negative people.

P.S. Don’t ever say your heard Costco is coming to town!
