Default Is this a Pest Problem

Does this look like a pest problem? The tips of most of the branches on this tree are very pale in color, the true contrast does not show up so well in the photo, but there is a big difference in the tips and the rest of the tree. I have TruGreen spray the tree and bushes every 3 months, but don't think it should be this bad in two months (last time they sprayed them), if it is really the problem, then I need to contact them right away.

Perhaps another symptom of covid 19 lock down we have too much time to look for problems.

From your photo it seems to be just new growth, it is always a lighter green. If, you are concerned you might want to cut out one branch and take it to cooperative extension.

No shortage of OPINIONS, as far as spraying every three months, I am a nut, proudly. I am not an organic nut. First of all you have several different plants. Each is subject to attack from different things at different times. I only spray when it is needed. Spraying on a regular schedule does more damage to the insects and animals that destroy the pests than to the pests you wish to control. Soap will kill many insects. It washes the wax off their bodies and they simply dry up and die.

No problem. That’s new growth! Good news for your landscapers.
